KIM SIWOO is a 23 year old filmmaker and creative From South Korea. Having background in Fine Arts and animation, he often integrates his understanding of those disciplines with the art of motion picture. His work often verges on absurd comedy to heavy dramas, and sometimes serious self reflections on why he is the way he is. Growing up in both South Korea and Singapore, He is influenced by many talented Asian filmmakers such as Hideaki anno, Park chan wook, Hong sang soo and Kiyoshi Kurosawa. A recent graduate of Pratt Institute and a recipient of the Seeman-Burse Scholarship, Siwoo's thesis film "Inside My Worn Out Drawer, is an Ocean" is currently in the festival circuit, having recently been picked by external jurors to be screened at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for his senior showcase.

In his free time, Siwoo likes playing guitar and pretending he’s on hot ones whenever he’s eating spicy food.
